Assistant Quality Assurance Manager at AFGRI Equipment

To support the QA Manager with ensuring compliance in quality management system, regulations and customer requirements are met. To manage document management system (Sharepoint).

REQUIRED MINIMUM EDUCATION/TRAINING

• Relevant Bachelor's Degree in Food Safety or Quality related qualification

REQUIRED MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE

• 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Relevant Quality Manager/Supervisory experience is essential.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

• Ensure ISO9001 is implemented throughout all Animal Feeds sites
• Maintain AFGRI Animal Feeds Integrated Management System (AIMS) and ensure procedures, manuals and other relevant documentation are managed and controlled on AIMS and other electronic platforms
• Assist in developing systems to ease operations and improve effectiveness
• Identify and implement applicable standard requirements and oversee the development and maintenance of system documentation
• Conduct training with the Quality and Safety System Administrators (QSSA’s) according to the training matrix.
• Coordinate the development of the HACCP Plans, ensure HACCP plans are aligned with the site process flows and that HACCP plans are accurately documented, available and implemented throughout sites.
• Ensure all food safety deviations, and emergencies are documented and followed up to ensure the successful implementation of corrective actions.
• Manage maintenance of the food safety system
• Ensure all relevant customer requirements are met at specific sites such as export, FSA, HACCP and AFMA standards
• Ensure Act 36 of 1947 requirements are met at site level
• Maintaining product registrations (V- number registrations)
• Liaising with compliance and legislative interested parties
• Prepare product registration/renewal dossiers for ACT 36 submissions.
• Ensure factories remain export-ready
• Coordinate and update legal registers
• Ensure training for the intranet, legislation, quality management and food safety is done for all stakeholders at various levels of the organization
• Conduct audits (quality, legislative, food safety) and compile internal audit reports
• Attend to and resolve CPA and customer complaints
• Report system effectiveness/deficiencies to management
• oversee the implementation of changes to the system at the site level with the support of the QSA’s and Nutritionist
