A relevant NQF Level 4 (with mathematics/mathematics literacy/physical science). Knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act. (OHS). Computer Literacy. The disclosure of a valid unexpired driver’s license.
Duties
Receive samples with specific test requests. Preparation of samples according to laboratory Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Maintenance and monitoring of laboratory equipment and environment.
Removal and sterilization of hazardous laboratory waste. Cleaning of glass and plasticware. Changing and handling of gas cylinders. In-house training of personnel, graduates, and interns on activities related to the work.
Capture monthly water-related data. Maintenance and verification of laboratory glassware, thermometer, balance, dispensettes, and micropipette. Stocktaking laboratory consumables.
Verification of laboratory glassware. Record data and information according to the quality management system (forms).
