Associate Manager, Maintenance - South Africa at BIC

Job Description:

• The primary mission of this role is to ensure the optimal performance and minimal downtime of all machinery in the plant, allowing the plant to operate at maximum capacity. As the Maintenance Manager you will be responsible for overseeing maintenance management systems, performance analysis and reporting, planning and ensuring equipment maintenance, continual improvement, and maintenance resource management. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, experience in managing people and systems, and the ability to plan effectively.

Key Outputs:

• Building a proactive environment by utilising leading indicators Critical Spare parts control / parts availability for all operations Establish and effectively support project budgets and objectives. Includes developing, supporting, and implementing standardise project management requirements such a management of change, training, project status updates, resource needs, and critical metrics to wide range of partners across the business.
• Lead utilities and maintenance areas projects such implementation of AM, TPM and BICWOW Develop training plans to satisfy the needs of both the business and the individual with the collective plant goal of having maintenance personnel that can address and control issues.
• Preventative maintenance focused and ability to establish effective and efficient action plans to address areas of concern.
• Provide guidance and support to production teams, providing technical guidance and direction throught the establishment and maintenance of an effective autonomous maintenance program.
• Support operations and maintenance teams on issues affecting the production lines whilst on shift in the event that additional technical help is required and identify and communicate training gaps to maintenance for continuous improvement.
• Support reliability projects across moulding and assembly lines Track progress and mentor as required.
• Utilising Condition Based Monitoring (CBM) to reduce the impact of down time due to planned or unplanned maintenance.
• Verify all projects meet requirements for Health, Safety, Environment and Quality Work closely with Operations and other functions to deliver CI, BIC WOW and Value Engineering projects.
