Associate Professor in Auditing at University of Western Cape

The successful candidate for Associate Professor in Auditing will be responsible for the following key performance areas:

• Facilitating learning and teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, primarily in the area of Auditing
• Provide academic leadership and administration
• Undertake curriculum development and assessment
• Conduct research and publish in Auditing
• Undertake undergraduate and postgraduate supervision
• Participate in community engagement and outreach
• Contribute to the co-ordination and management of the Department’s teaching and research programmes

Minimum requirements - Associate Professor:

• Masters degree or equivalent in the field of Auditing or related field
• Chartered Accountant (SA) qualification
• Demonstrated experience in facilitating learning and teaching in the field of Auditing at a post-graduate level on a SAICA accredited programme
• A record of quality peer reviewed publications
• A record of successful postgraduate supervision
• Evidence of expertise, national standing, and preferably an international presence in his/her discipline
• The integration of community engagement with learning and teaching and/or research
