Au Pair | Constantia | R12 000 - R17 000 Per Month at Au Pair Extraordinaire

• A family is looking for an AU PAIR for their son aged 6 years old 
• Area: Constantia 
• Ages: aged 6 years old (autistic (with a PDA profile) and also has ADHD. Bright, funny, affectionate little boy who thrives with someone who understands neurodivergent children, can build trust, and enjoys following his lead through play)
• Working hours: Monday – Friday: 13h00 - 19h00 
• School holiday hours: someone who is flexible to work additional hours during school holidays where needed, by mutual agreement

Duties: 

• Collect from activities if required (once he starts them). Plan fun, engaging, neurodivergent-friendly activities. Prepare simple, healthy meals and snacks for both Kingston and the family.
• Grocery shopping or online grocery ordering when needed. Light household assistance (tidying play areas, unpacking dishwasher, folding laundry, helping keep the home running smoothly).
• Organising toys, cupboards and activity spaces. Babysitting on occasion. Becoming another trusted, consistent adult in Kingston’s life and supporting our family as a whole. He is currently completing his schooling online, so he is home during the day.
• Requirements: proactive, emotionally regulated, experienced with autism, ADHD and/or PDA (or genuinely willing to learn). Able / happy to cook, qualification in childcare, education, occupational therapy or psychology would be an advantage
• Start date: ASAP start – permanent contract
• Salary: Entry level experience: R12 000 per month (gross, before deductions) + SARS rates per km (R4.95)
• Special Needs experience & tertiary qualification: R15 000 - R17 000 per month (gross, before deductions) + SARS rates per km (R4.95)​​​​​​​

All Au Pair Extraordinaire applicants must fill the following requirements:

• Must have at least 12 consecutive months of formal child caring experience, excluding work done for friends and family. This experience must be within the last 2 years.
• Must have their own, reliable car and at least 18 months driving experience.
• Must have at least 2 contactable childcare references.
• Must have a clear criminal record
• Must have a passion for children
• Must have Matric
• Must have a South African ID document.
