Audit Supervisor - Durban at Hire Resolve

Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and finalize audits in compliance with International Standards on Auditing (ISA) and South African standards.
• Lead fieldwork, including risk assessments and audit strategy preparation.
• Supervise and mentor junior staff, ensuring teamwork and skill development.
• Review team members' work and provide constructive feedback.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships.
• Communicate audit findings and recommendations effectively.
• Ensure adherence to SAICA, IRBA, and other local regulatory requirements.
• Conduct quality reviews of audit files to ensure compliance with firm policies.
• Draft financial statements in accordance with IFRS and other frameworks.
• Present audit conclusions and key findings to clients and management.
• Stay updated on changes in auditing standards, tax regulations, and reporting requirements.
• Recommend process improvements for audit efficiency and effectiveness.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Auditing, or related field (e.g., BCompt, BAcc, or CTA).
• Completion of SAICA articles is mandatory.
• Experience in a medium-sized audit firm is preferred.
• Post-articles experience is advantageous.
• Proficiency in auditing software and financial reporting tools.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• CA(SA) designation is advantageous but not required.
• Commitment to ethical standards and attention to detail.
