Automation QA at Flash Group

Flash is looking for an Automation QA, with a strong focus on API performance testing to join our dynamic Tech team based in our awesome Cape Town office. Work as part of the technology team to ensure a high-quality software is delivered to our customers.

Minimum Requirements:

• 5+ years’ proven experience as a Quality Assurance Tester or similar role
• Relevant IT Tertiary Qualification
• Previous experience working within a FinTech/Retail, Payments or Banking environment is preferred
• Ability to document and troubleshoot errors
• Working knowledge of test management software (e.g. TestRail)
• Familiarity with Agile frameworks and regression testing is a plus
• Powerful communication skills and the ability to work across multiple teams
• Testing experience of API’s, Mobile Applications and Web Applications using Test Automation
• Experience using API testing tools like POSTMAN, JMETER, RAPID API, SoapUI, REST-assured Katalon Studio, Apigee, etc. (Must have)
• Basic understanding of programming/scripting concepts and languages (JavaScript beneficial)
• Experience in CI/CD tools like Jenkins
• Experience using Linux

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with QA Team and develop effective strategies, test plans and design of test scenarios
• Execute test cases (manual or automated) and analyze results
• Test case preparation and maintenance
• Periodically review test cases as needed
• Log bugs and errors. Track all defects through to completion
• Help troubleshoot issues
• Test reporting throughout test environments
• Provide regular feedback to team members, developers and stakeholders
• Able to work some evenings and conduct post-release/implementation testing (2 - 3 nights per month)
• Attend daily stand-ups and provide testing progress
