Automation Test Analyst at MFS Africa

As a member of the Product team, the test analyst will work closely with the development, product, and business teams to build comprehensive manual and automated testing solutions. This role will be responsible for proactive bug-finding. The test analyst will participate in both the creation and maintenance of a regression test suite as well as testing new features before release. We’re looking for people with a strong background in complex financial solutions who are comfortable with lots of moving pieces. This position is based in Sandton, Johannesburg.
 

Duties and Responsibilities

• Documenting of test cases including feasibility analysis regarding automation.
• Creation of test plans.
• Execution of functional test plans and test cases.
• Creation and management of test data files.
• Conduct tests and analyse results to ensure that software meets or exceeds specified standards and requirements.
• Develop and maintain strong working relationships with project stakeholders.
• Participate and provide knowledge on test estimation models and best practices.
• Participate in test environment readiness & verification.
• Timely status reporting to project management.
• Focus on continuous process improvement.
• Participate in all aspects of test automation with Selenium Web Driver.
• Create test automation frameworks to ensure stability, efficiency, and scalability in the automated solution.
• Draft and revise automated solutions.
• Prepare the test automation scripts by integrating the framework.
• Review automated test scripts and code to ensure alignment with standards.
• API (Web services) automation with Selenium Web Driver integration.
• Automate the end to end process by integrating API and Web application flows.

Qualifications and experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Possess experience on core Java and Java script skills.
• 3+ years’ experience with automated testing.
• Have experience in an Agile environment.
