My client seeks to appoint a person that will be responsible for conducting continuous inspections during our build process and maintain quality of the manufactured products and related processes to deliver high quality products to customers. The ideal candidate will be a strong mature person with the ability to calmly handle conflict and suggest reasonable corrective steps/measures without disruption to the manufacturing processes.
Description
Study and ensure the work is executed according to the design and the specifications of the vehicle/components/products manufactured.
Measure product dimensions, examine functionality and compare the final product to the specifications.
Perform regular assessments on all incoming materials and products from vendors destined for the manufacturing process.
Closely monitor each process to ensure that ISO production standards are met during production and corrective measures are implemented before final product is complete.
Recommend adjustments to the assembly or production process and institute corrective measures via the respective managers of the divisions.
Inspect, test, or measure materials used for construction.
Measure products according to design specifications and ensure correct implementation of processes and correct tooling etc are used.
Ensure all admin data is captured and stored and the final product meets ISO and applicable standards.
Ensure health and safety regulations are adhered to in production.
Teach the production team about quality control concerns to improve product excellence.
Resolve quality related issues in a timely manner.
Ensure successful delivery of end products to clients.
Minimum Requirements
Matric (grade 12) Mathematics and English
Mechanical engineering background will receive preference.
Technical drawings as a subject and the ability to read and interpret technical designs are a requirement.
1 or 2yr Automotive Quality Certificate will be an advantage.
Experience of at least 3-5 years in the automotive sector.
Experience in truck body building will receive preference.
Strong ISO 9001-2015 experience
Ability to read and analyse part drawings.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage conflict calmly.
Working knowledge of the manufacturing environment relating to (Safety, Quality, Cost, and Delivery)
Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word/PowerPoint/Excel/Outlook).
Good Report Writing skills.
Fault-finding ability and root cause analysis with the ability to institute corrective measures.
Ability to multi-task multiple hi risk concerns at the same time.
Successful candidate must be able to demonstrate leadership combined with outstanding interpersonal, teambuilding, and communication skills.
