AWS Data Architect at Accenture

We are looking for people that are passionate and interested about technology, with a breadth of knowledge across a wide range of custom software Architectures and development & testing technologies, specifically based on the AWS platform of technologies.

Successful candidates will be able to asses existing solution architecture maturity and recommend, design, architect and/or deliver against future architectural goals. They will also be able to convert business requirements into sustainable, effective and efficient Solution Architecture that are fit for purpose.

A good solution architect must also be able to communicate effectively with their and their client’s teams at a technical as well as business level while assisting and driving the delivery (including governance) for our clients.

Key Competencies

• Deep technical skills and experience in one or more technology architecture domains
• Ability to develop implementation plans and estimates that serve as input to the business case supporting the technology implementation
• Implement and Drive effective Software Development methodologies depending on project and client environment such as Agile, Spiral and/or Waterfall.

Responsibilities

• Build scalable, flexible, manageable and cost-effective modern data architectures on AWS ecosystem.
• Implement end-to-end data analytics solutions (from data ingestion through visualization) for large-scale, complex client environments
• Lead a team of data engineers in designing, developing, testing, and deploying high performance data analytics solutions provided by AWS
• Communicate complex technical topics to non-technical business and sr. executives
  Mentoring technical staff

Qualifications Required

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science or Information Systems, or equivalent work experience

Required Competencies

• 10+ years of IT experience and equivalent blend of education and experience
• 5+ years architecting, developing, and deploying scalable enterprise data analytics solutions (Enterprise Data Warehouses, Data Marts, etc)
• Hands-on experience deploying data analytics solutions in AWS using RDS/Aurora/DynamoDB/EMR/Redshift (20 +TB)
• Demonstrated experience solving complex performance tuning challenges within a data analytics environment: greatly improved ETL load times, reduced SQL Query times, or re-arch to data pipelines using AWS Glue/DataPipelines
• Demonstrated experience architecting data analytics solutions sourcing data from traditional on-prem environments to AWS Ecosystem (Redshift/RDS/Aurora/S3) using DMS/Glue or any other data migration frameworks
• Hands-on experience with Big Data modelling techniques: Data Vault 2.0, etc
• Knowledge of AWS Amazon Quicksight for reporting and visualization
• Leveraged AWS Redshift Spectrum and Athena for maximum concurrency
• Knowledge of AWS CloudFormation templates or third party solutions like Terraform
• Strong understanding of Java/Python programming languages; knowledge of RESTAPI frameworks
• Strong understanding of the data analytics tools, packages, offerings
• Demonstrated technical leadership experience working successfully as part of a large project team
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Demonstrate experience presenting technical topics in front of an audience
• 5+ years experience writing complex SQL queries, stored procedures
• 3+ years experience with SVN or Git code versioning tools
• Certified AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate(Must) and AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional(or) AWS Certified Big Data Speciality

Additional Competencies

• At least 3 years of application development with extensive database use
  Proven expertise in a one of more of SQL, Stored Procedures, Scripting Languages, Object and Data Modelling
• Knowledge of and hands-on work on Big Data Platforms will be a plus (e.g Hadoop, Spark, Cloudera or any of the Cloud Data Platforms)
• Performance tuning of custom code, custom queries and troubleshooting techniques
• Proven application analysis and design skills
• Very good communication skills, written and spoken
