Aws Network Engineer at Vodacom

The Network Operations Specialist focuses upon the provision of network operations advice and administration and provides monitoring, operation and management of efficient and effective networks services fulfilling the Vodafone Strategy. The Network Operations Specialist has a good understanding of established concepts and procedures in monitoring network nodes, executing event/incident management, configuration, escalation, release and deployment and 3rd party management activities, ensuring a high quality, reliable network service is available to our customers. Typically reports to the Network Operations Manager.

Your Responsibilities Will Include

• Plan, implement and document solutions in a complex network environment in support of new and existing cloud technology architectures.
• Automate and monitor various cloud services.
• Work with Development and Operations teams to automate solutions and integrate with other services/products/solutions.
• To develop state of the art solutions which are technically sound.
• Define, implement and document operational processes and procedures, with periodic review for efficiency and improvement
• Support complex projects from inception to completion.

The Ideal Candidate For This Role Will Have

• 3 year Qualification Minimum: Diploma
• AWS Solution Architect Associate Certification and AWS Certified Advanced Networking - Specialty required.
• Minimum of 8 years networking experience of which 6 years in a complex routing and switching environment and at least 3 years with a Service Provider.
• Minimum Cisco CCNP certification.
• Advanced experience with internet routing protocols and concepts: TCP/IP, VPN, MPLS, ISIS and/or OSPF, BGP.
• Experience with network operating systems such as Cisco IOS-XR
