A suitable professional qualification, i.e., a degree or diploma in music, having specialised in singing or equivalent professional performance and teaching experience
Experience in teaching from Gr 1 to Gr 8 level, according to the Rockschool, TCL and/or ABRSM syllabi
The candidate will be responsible for preparing students for the practical component of subject music up to Gr 12
The ability and willingness to perform at school functions and special occasions within the department
The ability to play the piano will be a distinct advantage
Availability to teach mostly in the afternoons
Willingness to embrace rapid changes in education and an interest and ability to integrate IT and online approaches into your teaching and learning
A high level of organisational, managerial and administrative skills
