Being responsible for the review of the Drive work performed by the Drive consultants. Providing technical and qualitative reviews to the consultants ensuring that the proper quality control procedures are being followed in terms of technical standards. Being a mentor to the Drive consultants by providing training and development to Drive consultants and Junior Accountants. 

• Review the accounting of Drive consultants ensuring proper and appropriate reviews are raised to meet accounting technical requirements
• Ensuring the review notes on each client has been raised timeously and that each set of review notes raised has been cleared by the Drive consultants timeously
• Ensuring that all clients are sent for review within the stipulated turnaround time
• Ensuring reviews work around timeous submission of monthly VAT returns and management accounts
• Review a set of AFS in compliance with standards
• Supervision of Drive consultants and accountants
• Feedback on communication with Manager
• Timely communication with client

Annual financial statements and monthly management accounts:

• Review of annual financial statements and monthly management reports ensuring compliance with accounting and technical standards within the client's accounting framework
• Ensure the Drive team are preparing accurate working papers and reconciliations to support the annual financial statements and monthly management accounts

Reviews

• Review of VAT calculations before submission to Manager

Client retention

• Meeting client expectations in terms of service delivery and keeping clients updates on status

Collaboration

• Being aware of a client's needs and recommending or introducing another BDO professional or service line
• Explaining various accounting terminology and processes to clients
• Assist clients with accounting procedures and policies
• Liaison between client and managers

Supervision

• Planning, organising and leading work of subordinates 
• Supervising subordinates in terms of time, attendance and discipline to ensure resolution at the appropriate level

BCom Accounting 

• Completion of SAICA/SAIPA learnership 
• Qualified as a PA or Qualified as a CA 
• 3 to 4 years accounting experience
• Caseware experience 
• Xero certification 
• Strong technical skills in IFRS for SMEs 
• Proficient in full IFRS 
• 1-2 years supervisory experience
