BI Specialist at Sage

 Reporting to the Business Intelligence Manager/ Lead, the Business Intelligence Engineer is responsible for developing quality, accurate, valuable financial, analytical & visual reports that adhere to design specifications and meet performance and quality standards for implementation across Sage Products and Services.
The BI Engineer will possess an awareness of web, desktop development technologies, as well as Microsoft reporting technologies.

Key Responsibilities Collaborate with design analysts, software engineers, testers and other Sage functions to contribute to an extraordinary customer experience, through best in class products, reports and services, to customers across the Sage product portfolio.
Contribute and collaborate with BI Engineering team members in making product, reporting and data warehousing decisions.
Become an end-user advocate, driving user needs and goals into both creative and pragmatic reporting and data mart solutions.
Contribute to reporting & analytics with a high standard for quality within time and technical constraints.
Provide support as required, to existing BI and ERP systems to resolve system related issues.
Responsible for testing functionality once it has been developed.
Adhere to BI best practices and existing technologies.
Develop and maintain existing reports and datasets (from simple list to complex management reports, dashboards and visualizations)
Mentor and upskill Associate BI Engineers.

Technical Skills

• 3-5 years of SQL Development\Query experience.
• 3-5 years MS Excel experience.
• 1-2 years Power BI Report Creation experience
• 1-2 years DAX development
• 3-5 years in an ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) data environment

• Basic experience working with APIs will be beneficial.
• Basic Accounting knowledge will be beneficial.
• Basic C# Development skills will be beneficial.

Technical Qualifications

• Completed 3-4 year I.T Degree\Diploma
• MCSA in BI Reporting will be beneficial.
