BIM Modeller - Bridges at AECOM

Job Description

• AECOM South Africa is looking for BIM Modeller for the delivery of diverse local and international bridge projects. Key responsibilities would be the preparation and management of bridge drawings using CAD and 3D modelling software

Job Summary:

• Preparation and management drawings for bridges, culverts and other road related structures
• Preparation and management of reinforcement detailing and bending schedules
• 3D Revit modelling of bridges and culverts based on road and rail alignment models
• Building Information Modelling (BIM)
• Applying the AECOM Quality Management System (QMS) in all work
• Knowledge of SANS, TMH7 and other relevant standards will be a benefit

Minimum Requirements :

• Minimum of five years’ experience in the drawing and modelling of bridges, culverts and other road related structures
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, MicroStation, Revit, or Civil 3D
• Proficiency in rebar detailing software (CADS RC or similar) will be a benefit
• Good knowledge of the SANRAL and Western Cape Provincial Governments drawing procedures will be a benefit
• Experience working for Transport Authority clients in the USA, Canada and Australia will be considered favorable
• Experienced using common data environments Autodesk Construction Cloud (BIM360) and Bentley ProjectWise
• Experience of modelling reinforcement in 3D will be a benefit
• Experience working for Transport Authority clients in the USA, Canada and Australia will be considered favorable

Qualifications

• Diploma in Civil Engineering or drafting certification
• High Revit competency and specialist 3D modelling of bridges will be a benefit
