Blaster - Witbank at Glencore

The incumbent in this role is responsible for planning, organising, leading and controlling all blasting activities in the Opencast Operations. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Adhering to mine’s procedures in execution of all blasting activities.
• Maintaining Health, Safety, Environmental and Production requirements.
• Being cost effective and meeting deadlines.

Minimum Qualifications

• Grade 12.
• Opencast blasting certificate.
• Magazine Master Certificate (SA Police Service – Explosives) will be advantageous.
• Drivers’ License (Code EB/08)

Minimum Experience:

• Minimum 7 years’ opencast mining experience of which 1 year should be at a Blast Controller / Magazine Master level.
