Boilermaker - Potchefstroom at Rheinmetall Denel Munition

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• The Boilermaker is responsible for performing boiler making duties based on  engineering designs and specifications.
• Cut and prepare raw material, shape, fabricate parts and tag/weld components.
• Position, align, and secure structural parts and related assemblies.
• Manufacture and install accessories needed to integrate systems.
• Erect fabricated structures for Pre-Delivery Inspection.
• Assemble/disassemble modules and structures for shipment.
• Packaging of plant equipment for shipment, installation and commissioning.
• Conduct training and mentorship of Boilermaker apprentice.

WHAT QUALIFICATIONS YOU SHOULD HAVE

• Minimum grade 12 or equivalent NQF4.
• N3 (Mechanical Engineering).
• Trade Test Certificate boilermaker.
• At least 3-5 years’ post trade experience as Boiler Maker.
• Welding experience will be advantageous.
• Site supervisor/workshop foreman experience will be advantageous.
• Experience in an explosive environment will be advantageous.
• An in-depth understanding and working knowledge of the manufacturing/fabrication environment.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Experience in planning and implementation of work activities.
• Good understanding of explosive environment regulations.
• Good communication and Interpersonal skills and ability to effectively collaborate with multiple disciplines both internally and externally.
• Computer literacy.
• Clear security screening.
• Valid Driver’s License where applicable.
• Willingness to relocate if applicable.
• Good Planning and organizational abilities.
