Job Description

• Motus Sinotruck Midrand currently has a vacancy for a Branch Accountant. The Branch Accountant contributes to the company’s goals by providing financial support aligned to the company’s strategy.
• Reporting to the Regional Finance Manager the ideal candidate must have at least 3 years post-graduation experience in finance within the motor industry.

 Job Objectives:

• Preparation of monthly/quarterly management accounts
• Preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliations for SAVM
• Posting of cashbook, creditors and debtors’ transactions to general ledger
• Processing of month end journals
• maintenance of fixed assets registers
• Preparation of Hyperion pack for SAVM
• Preparation of monthly VAT schedules
• Assist with budget and forecast processes
• Preparation of monthly departmental accounts
• Assist with Income tax pack and queries from Head Office
• Assist with internal and external audits

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS & EXPERIENCE:

• B. Com. degree with Accounting major or similar
• Minimum 3 years post-graduation experience in finance
• Financial Services/Insurance Background advantageous
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills compulsory
• Financial systems knowledge will be an added advantage

• Deadline driven, team player that is reliable and dependable with a positive attitude
• Take accountability and be able to handle criticism
• Attention to detail with analytical insights
• Motor industry experience will be an added advantage
• Must have excellent verbal communication skill
