Brand Manager at Colgate-Palmolive

Job Summary: 

The position is responsible for the development and implementation of the South African brand strategy. This person is also responsible for leading the local teams to implement the strategy at a local level.

Main Responsibilities: 

• Ensure the achievement of the brand’s agreed financial objectives i.e. achieve budgeted tons, nets sales, margin, operating profit as well as controlling the brand’s advertising & promotional spend to ensure it is in line with the budget.
• Prepare and successfully implement the agreed brand strategies regarding advertising, promotions, new product development and pricing
• Lead all the brand initiatives, motivating and ensuring buy-in from all the relevant internal (Commercial Team, Ops, Supply Chain, Finance, Global Business Team, AMED Divisional team) & external partners (agencies)
• Identify opportunities to drive / fund the growth of the brand
• Prepare and present regular presentations to the AMED management team

Required Qualifications:

• A Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business Management or related Commercial Field
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Brand management (preferably in an FMCG environment) 
• Computer Literacy (SAP, Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
