    Brand Marketing Manager

    Responsibilities

    The Brand Marketing Manager ensures the efficient execution of business plans in order to meet future brand expectations and targets. The Brand Marketing Manager ensures brand integrity by guiding efforts across multiple channels and functions.

    • Supports the execution of global & local brand strategies including brand positioning, product, packaging, pricing and channel management;
    • Support the plans for and drives execution of new product launches in defined markets leveraging inputs from global & local teams to deliver launch objectives;
    • Support developing yearly brand plans by space and engage with In Country Channels and engage with local Sales teams to drive Brand Performance & key brand health metrics;
    • Implements BP plans (media, promotions, events etc) to support brand development objectives in conjunction with the in-country marketing managers;
    • Support the implementation of digital activities through working with digital experts internally & externally;
    • Follows effective brand management processes to ensure consistent brand implementation;
    • Implements and manages product brand guidelines and policy in accordance with master brand and global product brand guidelines;
    • The management of media campaigns from the beginning to the end and is also responsible for the execution across all media channels inclusive of TV, Radio, Digital, Print, and Paid Social;
    • Effective use of all marketing channels to support drive and growth of our presence in Africa. Communications internal & external, ABT, BLT and SEO.
       

    Profile

    • Formal Marketing or equivalent qualification (Diploma / Degree)
    • 5 years + marketing experience with deep exposure to strategy development and implementation as well as brand management
    • Previous sales & activation experience through retail.
    • Experience in leading a team and creating a performance culture through developing and inspiring others
    • Demonstrated ability to influence a strategic agenda across an organisation and achieve cut through and impact
    • Experience in retail/channel to drive alignment
    • 2 to 3 years’ experience in full ownership of global brands, encompassing brand life-cycle and activation
    • Experience in Africa retail/distributor environment
    • Experience using/analysing various data sets to drive brand sales growth.
