    Senior Facilities Technician

    Where will the successful candidate fit in?

    • We are seeking a hands-on, proactive, and organised Senior Facilities Technician to take ownership of the upkeep and maintenance of our office facilities.
    • The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day maintenance operations, coordinating with contractors and suppliers, and reporting on project progress and building upkeep.
    • This is a critical role ensuring our working environment remains safe, functional, and well-maintained.
    • This position requires strong technical know-how, problem-solving ability, and the confidence to work independently, as well as collaborate with various departments. A valid driver's license and a minimum of one year’s driving experience is non-negotiable.

    Key Responsibilities

    Facilities Maintenance Operations

    • Conduct general repairs and maintenance, including carpentry, sanding, painting, drilling, minor plumbing and electrical work.
    • Assemble, install and repair office furniture, fixtures, and fittings.
    • Perform preventative maintenance inspections and maintain a regular maintenance schedule across the premises.
    • Identify and escalate major maintenance requirements to management while actioning those within scope.
    • Maintain a tidy and well-stocked tools and equipment inventory; request restocking as necessary.
    • Assist with office reconfigurations, furniture moves, and setup of new areas as needed.

    Supplier and Contractor Coordination

    • Liaise with external contractors and service providers to arrange quotes, schedule work, and ensure quality service delivery.
    • Coordinate supplier collections and deliveries, ensuring materials or stock are received on time and handled appropriately.
    • Maintain effective communication with suppliers and service providers for ongoing maintenance contracts or project work.

    Administrative & Reporting Duties

    • Keep detailed maintenance logs, update spreadsheets to track maintenance activities, costs, and asset servicing.
    • Report on project progress, maintenance trends, and outstanding tasks to Facilities Management.
    • Support logistics with occasional driving errands as needed.

    Requirements

    • Proven experience in a maintenance, building services, or handyman role (minimum 2–3 years preferred).
    • Working knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical and carpentry repairs.
    • Strong coordination, organisational and time management skills.
    • Proficient in using basic Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets for task tracking and reporting.
    • Ability to manage multiple suppliers and external contractors.
    • Hands-on, proactive, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
    • Physically fit and capable of performing manual tasks and lifting heavy objects.

    Accounts Payable Clerk: Inventory Management

    Role overview:

    • We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Payable Clerk with hands-on inventory management experience to join our finance team.
    • This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working across departments to ensure accurate financial and inventory records.

    Key Responsibility:

    Accounts Payable:

    • Responsible for full Creditors Book 
    • Process vendor invoices, match purchase orders, and verify receiving documents

    Job Duties 

    • Installation of Fibre optic networks 
    • On site monitoring, support and being the liaison between Octotel & the client 
    • Prepare DSP’s (Detailed Site Plans) for new fibre and wireless site installations

    Support Technician

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Email and telephone customer support and service management in the FNO/ISP/Telecoms industry.
    • Triage and prioritisation of outages, tickets and service requests.
    • Outage management: Escalation and network notices and customer follow-up.
    • Processing of all fibre reconnect/migration orders.
    • Engaging with and providing continuous feedback to ISP’s regarding reconnection/migration service orders.
    • Managing internal communication regarding scheduled maintenance and outages.
    • Maintenance scheduling and customer/service audits.
    • Hardware configuration and troubleshooting. 
    • Remote support of on-site/field technicians advantageous.
    • Projects and project reporting.
    • Scheduling on-site support appointments, updating and maintaining appointment calendars.
    • And any other reasonable task.

    Requirements

    • Minimum 3 years' experience in a FNO/ISP technical support environment. 
    • Relevant tertiary qualification e.g. N+/CCNA is preferred.
    • Tier 2 (or higher) Support Technician experience in FNO/ISP/Telecoms industry advantageous.
    • Comfortable working on various CRM and various service management platforms. 

    Critical Competencies: 

    • Customer experience/Customer service excellence mindset.
    • Analytical troubleshooting skills.
    • Solid experience configuring and troubleshooting internet connectivity issues using command line tools e.g. telnet, netstat, tracert, ping. 
    • Thorough understanding of DNS in terms of network connectivity. 
    • Excellent Stakeholder engagement and Stakeholder Management.
    • Strong Administrative skills.​
