BU Head of Strategy & Planning at The Coca-Cola Company

Position Overview

Drive strategy development, strategic initiatives and business planning processes for the BU. The role has these key areas of responsibility:

• Strategy: Lead the company and system-wide assessment on potential for the region by studying the external economical -political environment, competitive landscape, whitespace and acceleration opportunities, past performance, & system requirements to access; outline strategic bets to prioritize for sustainable growth & impact
• Planning: Lead the long range and annual strategic planning processes for the BU, leveraging balancing and maximizing long-term potential and short-term return; continuously streamline the process to deliver solid plans with right-sized effort
• Strategic Initiatives: Drive key strategic projects that change the trajectory of the BU for the better, addressing opportunities or challenges that exist in our markets
   

Function Related Activities/Key Responsibilities

• Formulate strategy informed by analysis of external & internal factors- socio-economic, macro forces, and industry dynamics, people trends, internal capabilities, to develop operating scenarios and generate hypotheses on opportunities
• Develop compelling and consistent narratives to communicate and engage the System in its growth strategy; partner with and influence system leads across a variety of functions providing business analysis for decision-making processes
• Lead and facilitate end-to-end system strategic and annual business planning processes across the system, outline multiple scenarios, ensuring plans reflect mid-to-long term growth strategies, and are insightful and timely
• Develop multiyear business forecasts to assist in prioritizing resource allocation to these opportunities and determine financial attractiveness of business decisions
• Lead strategic projects end-to-end, using analytical rigour and compelling narratives to compel the business to action
• Inspire, engage and help upskill BU capabilities in strategic thinking & problem solving, to drive a more rigorous and fact-based approach to strategy & planning
• Coach, support & develop Associates in Strategy and in broader S&U organization to enable them reach full potential
   

Related Work Experience

• 8+ years’ experience with a background in management consulting, and / or corporate strategy and planning experience with a multi-national company
