Bursary Programme 2025 at Johannesburg Water

Available Study Fields:

We are currently offering bursaries in the following fields:

• Civil Engineering (X2): Help shape the infrastructure of South Africa’s future by studying civil engineering. Our bursary recipients will have the opportunity to work on water infrastructure projects that make a real difference in people’s lives.
• Mechanical Engineering (X1): As a mechanical engineer, you will design and develop innovative solutions for water treatment and management systems. Join our team and be part of a dynamic group of professionals who are changing the face of South Africa’s water industry.
• Electrical Engineering (X1): Electrical engineers are essential to the smooth operation of water treatment and distribution systems. Our bursary recipients will have the opportunity to work on high- voltage transmission systems and help ensure a reliable supply of water to communities across Gauteng.

Eligibility Criteria:

To apply for our bursary, you must meet the following criteria:

1. South African citizenship: Be a South African citizen with a valid ID number.
2. Gauteng institution: Be a full-time student at one of the following accredited institutions in Gauteng: TUT, VUT, WITS, UJ, or UP.
3. Academic performance and financial need: Demonstrate a good academic record and evidence of financial need.
4. Priority groups: Females and persons with disabilities will receive priority consideration for our bursary awards.
