Business Analyst at Altron Bytes Systems Integration

Job Description

• The BA services include, but are not limited to, the following aspects: 
• gathering of information from the business unit regarding business, processes, procedures and requirements regarding the intended development, enhancement or change; 
• drafting the Requirement Specification Document; 
• presenting the Requirement Specification Document for review by the relevant business unit and other departments that will be involved during the development life-cycle and obtaining formal sign-off of the Requirement Specification Document by all stakeholders; 
• ensuring that the Requirement Specification Document is delivered to the relevant department for design, development and testing; 
• ensuring that the milestones and deadlines are met for the development, enhancement or change to be released into production in accordance with the SAPG: Demand and Planning Release Plan or any other Release Plan as stipulated by providing subject matter expertise support and by actively monitoring progress; 
• managing any scope changes that may be identified during the development life-cycle in accordance with the Change Request process; 
• performing quality assurance and User Acceptance Testing on the delivered development, enhancement or change to ensure that it meets the base-line or benchmark as set by the Requirement Specification Document; 
• being responsible for proper communication with the business unit that requested the development, enhancement or change throughout the development life-cycle; 
• ensuring the development, enhancement or change is delivered into production and that sign-off and close-out is achieved; and 
• providing subject matter expertise to resolve bugs and to support the functional testing of developed software code
• Documenting Processes and Improvements 
• Management Reporting 
• Functional Testing based on some of the Revenue & ERP Management Initiatives 

Skills and expertise requirements for a BA 

• a 3 year degree or diploma and 2 – 3 years proven experience in business analysis and investigation or architecture; 
• strong reporting and interpersonal skills; and 
• 1 – 2 years testing experience; 

OR 

• 4 – 5 years proven experience in business analysis and investigation or architecture; 
• strong reporting and interpersonal skills; and 
• 1 –2 years testing experience.

Education

• National Certificate Level 4 (N4) / Grade 12  (Required)
