Business Development Manager at Chris Hani District Municipality

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: 

• Matric,
• National Diploma in Business Management/Bachelor’s degree in Management or Economics or relevant qualification majoring in Business Management 
• At least 5 – 7 years’ relevant experience of which three (3) years must be at managerial or supervisory level 
• Hands-on experience in strategic consulting and/or business development is an added advantage 
• Valid Driver’s License 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO): 

• Tracking global industry and technology trends to formulate appropriate industry promotion and marketing strategies for Chris Hani District Programs. 
• Identify and promote companies to make Chris Hani District Programs a part of their regional & global activities. 
• Knowledge and experience in preparation of feasibility and viability studies. 
• Work with local authorities at each Local Municipality to help build and understand capabilities to enable desired activities. 
• Working with CEOs, senior management and decision-makers in both the private and public sectors to attract investments towards Chris Hani District Programs as well as facilitate project implementation. 
• Work with Chris Hani District Municipality companies to help them access business opportunities created by Investment Companies and government. 
• Prepare analytic report on sustainable investments and liaise with financial institutions.
