    Business Development Manager - Payments

    You Bring:

    • Valid driver’s license (Essential).
    • Relevant Degree (Advantageous).
    • More than 5 years in a Customer Service role.
    • More than 5 years of experience in a Payments/Finance Industry role (Preferred).
    • Stakeholder relationship management.
    • Proven experience in the operation and analysis of database hardware, software, and standards, as well as data retrieval methodologies.
    • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.

     What You’ll Do:

    • Lead and ensure appropriate ownership and management of online gateways.
    • Liaising with internal and external developers to improve the functionality of Ownpay.
    • Identify ways to increase sales, liaise with third-party merchants to onboard Ownpay.
    • Be responsible for driving effective and scalable payment processes through automation and process improvements.
    • Communication with the various banks/service providers. Building relationships and identifying new products.
    • To manage the achievement of targets and growth.
    • To ensure that customer service is upheld according to operational standards.
    • Responsible for the development, automation and management of all online and retail payment methods for customers.
    • Interacting with senior management for reporting.
    • Keep abreast of new developments and competitors in the eCommerce world.
    • Fraud and risk analysis and control.
    • Management of shortages and recovery process.
    • Collaborate closely with multiple functions such as developers, finance, audits and customer service departments etc.
    • Reporting of daily, weekly and monthly statistics.
    • Training and development within relevant departments.
    • Assist with the smooth implementation of new business development/ projects.
    • Ensure safe, secure & compliant online payment operations.
    • Assist with issues experienced with the payment portals.
    • Work closely with internal audits, ensuring that all necessary audit queries are received and returned promptly.
    • Payment fees/ bank charge tracking, analysis and optimisation.
    • Responding to issues of payment incidents from Customer Support Teams.
    • Customer Service - follow up with customer complaints.
    • Being available at all times to assist/escalate issues and to provide prompt responses when required.
    • Any ad hoc tasks.
