Business Information and Data Analytics Manager at Aspen Pharma Group

The Manager: Business Information and Data Analytics is responsible for delivering analytics and reporting solutions throughout Pharma and in playing a pivotal part in driving business decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Partner with all business areas in order to understand and deliver performance insights and key analytics solutions.
• Support business KPI’s by identifying data needs and delivering value cases and in turning data to business value.
• Business lead on the acquisition, management and deployment of information for SA Commercial.
• Carry overall responsibility for Data Governance Framework
• Oversee the development of automated, scalable and thoroughly documented reporting solutions.
• Ensure the work delivered is accurate, of high quality, delivered on time, and complies to SA Commercial’s IT and Data Governance rules.
• Directs and oversees technical teams in the translation of business requirements and functional specifications into logical program designs.
• Support cross-functional teams such as Salesforce Effectiveness, Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, HR and Finance, on day-to-day execution of projects.
• Coordinate cross-divisional operations analyses by providing common methodology, definitions and standard analytic approaches.
• Work closely with IT to provide appropriate data and tools for the analytics team to be successful.
• Nurture and promote the adherence to BI governance standards within the organization.
• Duties include communication, outreach and training to various stakeholders throughout the business, as well as management of outside services (e.g., vendors).
• Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) regarding business information in terms of methodology, technology and Data Governance frameworks.
• Explore and propose new tools, methodology and practices enabling standardisation of procedures and their related reports.

Education And Experience

• Matric / Grade 12
• Relevant Degree
• 5+ Years experience working in / with BI teams
• Data Warehouse design & Implementation experience
• Data processing & process modelling experience
• Implementation of Data Governance Frameworks
• QlikView and/ or Qlik Sense background is preferable
• Pharmaceutical Industry experince would be an added advantage
