Business Intelligence Specialist at Motus Holdings Limited

JOB DESCRIPTION

• The “Business Intelligence Specialist” oversees all IT systems used by 58Fleet, from setting up new users, their access, system updates, system setup, system back-ups, managing the monthly bill runs (where applicable).
• The incumbent would be our key contact to Vendors supplying systems and managing the system enhancements, troubleshooting testing and roll-out. The incumbent would manage any file transfer requirements, POPIA compliance and reporting.

DUTIES/ KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensure that policies, procedures and processes are adhered to
• Ensure system up-time, updates, backups
• Be the key liaison with Software Vendors and our Group IT
• Log system bugs, enhancements, oversee testing and implementation
• Manage system bill run’s monthly on all systems
• Oversee the logging for computer repairs with Group IT
• Laisse with Group IT on the setting up of new users, computers printers etc
• Do Database backups via MS SQL , must have basic SQL Server Management Studio understanding
• Be our representative on the Advanced IT security forum
• Ensure to conduct assessments in a professional manner
• Manage the monthly reporting via existing report writing tool (training to be provided on the report writer used
• Ensure systems are updated with relevant vehicle and driver information
• Ensure eTag and fuel cards are linked to the correct vehicle and driver

EDUCATION

• Matric or equivalent
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Fundamentals
• Report writing certificate

EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED

• Minimum of 5 years IT/Systems experience
• Must be willing to work after office hours if required
• A broad IT experience would be beneficial
• Excellent Communication Skills
• Basic SQL Server Management Studio understanding
• Be able to execute SQL script’s (that were already prepared)
• Have a working knowledge of “Tomcat” Server functions and processes
• Have understanding of Terminal emulator, serial console and network transfer application
• Have network transfer understanding of “FileZilla / WinSCP”
• Basic knowledge in the use of “PUTTY” for Database backups
• Good Excel understanding
• Able to work under pressure

• Be able scrutinise and submit and request IT quotes for hardware and software
• Attend to IT queries
• Have report writing experience, be able to modify an existing report
