Business Objects Administrator at The Shoprite Group of Companies

The Business Objects Administrator is Responsible for delivering the reporting system and ensuring the reporting environment is always available and optimised. As requested, create reports (i.e. usage and performance statistics), conduct testing, and ongoing analytical and technical support.

Resolve issues arising on a day-to-day basis as well as during project implementation. Engage and collaborate with Data Analysts and Technical Development teams to ensure current and future requirements are met. Conduct performance tuning on an operating system, database and application layer. Identify, analyse, and troubleshoot performance-related issues. Conduct quality control checks and auditing of databases to ensure the accurate and appropriate use of data.

• The successful candidate will have a Grade 12/NQF level 4.
• He/She would have 5 - 7 years of experience working in a distributed SAP Business Objects environment and 5 - 7 years Information Technology Experience of SAP Business Objects implementation(s) and upgrades.
• It is also important for the successful candidate to have experience in Information Technology SAP Business Objects configuration in accordance with SAP best practices.
