A well-established South African bathroom retailer is looking for a commercially minded Business Operations Manager to strengthen its leadership team.
This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys improving systems, solving problems and keeping multiple departments moving in the same direction. The business combines a national retail footprint, premium product ranges, private-label growth and a strong e-commerce platform.
Duties / Key Responsibilities
Lead and coordinate day-to-day business operations
Align department heads and improve cross-team communication
Track performance, accountability and delivery against business goals
Analyse business data and turn insights into practical actions
Improve systems, processes and operational efficiency
Support growth across retail, distribution and e-commerce
Reduce operational dependency on the owner
Drive continuous improvement and a high-performance culture
Requirements
4 - 6 years' operations or general management experience, preferably in a retail, ecommerce environment
Experience leading multiple business functions
Commercial understanding and sound financial awareness
Strong analytical and data interpretation skills
Advanced working knowledge of MS Excel
Fluent in Afrikaans and English
Proven ability to improve processes and business performance
Strategic thinker with strong execution skills
Retail, wholesale, distribution or e-commerce exposure is advantageous
Comfortable working in an entrepreneurial, owner-managed business
Education
Relevant degree or diploma in Business, Operations, Commerce, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain or a related field
