    Business Partner: L&D Solutions

    Purpose of the Job    

    The purpose of the Business Partner: L&D Solution role is to manage the design, development and evaluation of learning material and solutions for their portfolio for RSA and Non-RSA to strengthen functional and management capability for RSA and non-RSA. The role works alongside the People Partners and other solutions capabilities to design and deliver end-to-end learning solutions that build the employee value proposition and enable business to achieve their strategies and performance goals. 

    Job Objectives    

    • Employee Centric Delivery
    • Providing input into the Learning Strategy for the portfolio as required.  
    • Coordinating and managing the consultation with portfolio Executive Management in collaboration with the People Partners CPO and the Head: Group Learning and Development on overall learning needs.  
    • Developing a roadmap of learning initiatives for the portfolio as input into the consolidated roadmap of learning initiatives in collaboration with the Divisional Training Managers. 
    • Developing a training plan for the portfolio as input into the consolidated training plan.
    • Managing the definition of learning solutions architecture and design.
    • Managing the design and development of learning material in alignment with the Learning Strategy for the portfolio.
    • Managing the design and development of learning solutions including but not limited to the methods of delivery, platforms of choice, curriculums, instructional design and other visual aids.
    • Developing learning solution standards for the portfolio.
    • Ensuring quality assurance of learning solutions.
    • Evaluating and monitoring the development and effectiveness of learning solutions.
    • Managing the evaluation of learning solutions.
    • Conducting research to inform learning solution design and development.
    • People (Self, Team & Organisational)
    • Managing the Learning Solution portfolio team to deliver learning solutions and services to the business.?
    • Managing the enablement of an innovative, agile and employee centric culture where employees are supported, empowered and valued within the Learning Solution portfolio team.
    • Managing the enablement of an employee wellness culture within the Learning Solution portfolio team to ensure that employees are supported mentally, physically and emotionally.
    • Managing the enablement of a culture of open and transparent communication within the Learning Solution portfolio team to ensure that employees are informed of developments timeously.
    • Financial, Reporting & BI
    • Managing of Learning Solution portfolio costs whilst ensuring service delivery to the Shoprite Group.
    • Managing the collection and use of Learning Solution portfolio data and business intelligence to transform the delivery of learning design and development.
    • Governance & Compliance  Managing adherence to the Learning Solution portfolio team governance structures, policies, processes, procedures and frameworks.
    • Managing adherence to organisational and legislative governance frameworks and standards.
    • Identifying Learning Solution portfolio risks and developing appropriate risk mitigations plans.
    • Future-Fit
    • Participating in the integration and effective flow of work with other solution areas and business.
    • Identifying relevant technology requirements for the Learning Solution portfolio and ensuring optimal utilisation thereof.
    • Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement in Learning Solution portfolio processes to ensure ongoing process efficiency. 

    Qualifications    

    • Degree in Human Resources or equivalent

    Experience    

    • +4 years in a L&D design and development or equivalent role, delivering learning solutions in an HR environment within related L&D Talent frameworks, policies, procedures and guidelines
    • Experience within the FMCG, retail sector or similar
    • Demonstrable knowledge of L&D Solutions within the FMCG, retail sector, understanding of the challenges of L&D execution in a Group, retail environment
    • Knowledge of HR policies, procedures, legislation and regulations
    • We value practical learning experiences, in the event that a candidate does not have a degree, demonstrable relevant experience will be considered. A proven track record of delivering learning design and development and demonstrating knowledge of trending learning design and development solutions best practices in a retail environment
