Contribute towards the development, implementation and monitoring of the OBP Organisational strategy and objectives. Translate the corporate OBP strategy into measurable objectives and KPIs for all departments.
Facilitate annual and quarterly planning sessions to ensure alignment across functions. Support scenario planning and forecasting to anticipate market and operational changes. Ensure integration of performance metrics into departmental plans and budgets. Drive cross-functional collaboration across all departments within OBP to achieve strategic priorities.
Design and implement performance monitoring frameworks aligned with organisational strategic objectives. Develop and maintain organisational scorecards and dashboards for real-time tracking. Conduct periodic performance reviews with business units and senior leadership. Identify trends, risks, and opportunities through data-driven analyses and business insights. Recommend corrective actions and improvement initiatives to close performance gaps.
Develop a structured timeline and workflow for monthly, quarterly and annual report preparation. Coordinate contributions from all departments, ensuring consistency and compliance for all required reporting. Lead the creation, review and formal submission of all standard reports in line with policies, procedures and reporting standards.
Liaise with external auditors and regulatory bodies as required. Implement process improvements for more efficient and transparent reporting. Compile performance deviation reports for EXCO quarterly.
Proactively implement initiatives aimed at optimising and automating the reporting process for OBP. Develop and enforce standardized reporting templates and guidelines across the organisation. Align internal reporting standards with industry best practices and regulatory requirements
Represent and participate in the organisation’s executive committees and task teams when required. Lead, chair and attend meetings and present findings and business cases to relevant strategic stakeholders when required. Oversee the division’s relevant departmental budgets to ensure alignment to the organisation’s revenue and efficiency objectives. Ensure the costs are contained while maintaining high levels of impact and performance.
Lead the mitigation of the division’s risk profile through timeous identification of internal and external factors, the application of fraud controls and risk prevention principles, and implementing of sound governance and compliance processes and tools to identify and manage risks.
Minimum requirements
Postgraduate (Honours) qualification in Planning, Monitoring & Evaluation; Business Management; Data Science or a related field NQF 8. MBA or Equivalent Qualification is advantageous South African Monitoring and Evaluation Association (Advantageous)
At least 7 years’ relevant experience in a Business Performance, Monitoring and Evaluation environment.
Must include at least 2 years’ supervisory or managerial experience. Relevant exposure to managing organisational performance strategy and operational plans.
Good understanding and experience of general data mining principles. Proficiency in relevant data analysis tools (Excel, Power BI etc.), performance frameworks, and reporting standards. Demonstrated proficiency in statistical modelling techniques Demonstrated proficiency in working with quantitative and qualitative analyses and reporting.
