Business Project Manager at Hollard Insurance

Role Objectives

• To assist in the design, oversight and implementation of key strategic projects for the benefit of Hollard Insure
• To develop and maintain effective relationships to enable project delivery
• To be able to contribute to the desired objectives of projects through in-depth knowledge and application of problem-solving skills
• To prioritise project delivery within an agile environment on behalf of client facing teams
• To represent the Distribution team in forums affecting operations, technology and systems

Key Responsibilities

• Prioritisation of projects within an agile environment
• Oversight, control and closure of projects relating to distribution
• Collaboration between IT and business teams to deliver against key strategic projects
• Problem solving and enablement of project delivery
• Ensuring projects are delivered on time.
• Ensuring appropriate process designs, including the correct business requirements
• Steering of projects to ensure delivery of business value
• Acting as Change Agent on key project implementation
• Assistance in Program Increment Planning and Execution
• Working closely with and building excellent relationships with key stakeholders
• Communicating effectively with external (brokers) and internal stakeholders
• Communicating status updates outside of the team
• Gathering business requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirement workshops, surveys, business process descriptions, use cases, user stories, scenarios, business analysis and workflow analysis

Required Knowledge and Experience    

• Minimum 10 years’ insurance experience
• Minimum 5 years’ project management / IT or Business experience

Educational Requirements    

• Matric & relevant Certificate or Diploma
• Relevant Business or Insurance Qualification at NQF 5 level
• Relevant Project Management Qualification
• RE Advantageous
