Buyer (Chloorkop) at AECI Limited

AECI Industrial Chemicals is looking to recruit a Buyer to work in Modderfontein. Placing of purchases with suppliers for stocked items and non-stocked items. Collaborate with inventory planning team and administer appropriate movement of all goods.

Duties & Responsibilities    

•  Processing and placement of purchase orders with suppliers.
•  Maintain supplier Master data.
•  Liaise with production, engineering, transporters and suppliers on forecasts & purchases.
•  Collaborate with other departments and assist where documents are required on goods delivered/ordered.
•  Involved intensive administration duties, attention to detail, attending of local production meetings and meetings with suppliers to build quality working relationships.
•  Evaluate, monitor and report on supplier performance by recording and measuring incoming material and quality, on time deliveries and service delivery.
•  Confirm commercial sustainability of vendors/suppliers by vetting and negotiating prices.

Qualifications & Experience    

•  Matric / Grade 12.
•  Minimum 5 years’ experience in purchasing.
•  Comprehensive knowledge of buying.
•  Good technical knowledge, follow ups, quality orientated, has planning and organizing skills.
•  Proficient computer skills in MS Word and Excel.
•  Syspro experience is preferable.
