Buyer - Supply Chain Management (One (1) Year Six (6) Months Fixed Term Contract) (Potchefstroom)
Procurement of goods and services in line with the National Treasury Act, ARC policies and procedures.
Invitation of quotations, processing of purchase orders and follow up on outstanding transactions
Expediting purchase orders, assisting with the international and contract procurement.
Provide advice on the procurement of goods and or services including sourcing methods
Handling of internal and or external enquiries
Compile and submit reports as required.
Financial and general administration.
Render assistance within the stores when required.
Requirements
National Diploma in Supply Chain Management (SCM) specifically in Sourcing, Supply Management or Purchasing Management
Bachelor’s Degree will be an added advantage.
Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in public sector procurement with knowledge and understanding of Supply Chain Management Policies and Procedures
Registration with Association of Accounting Technicians will be an added advantage, Knowledge. experience and understanding of the Public Finance Management Act (PFMA).
Knowledge, experience and understanding of the Public Finance Management Act (PFMA), related policies and regulations.
Demonstrate understanding of communication between end users, SCM, Finance and service providers and importance of providing feedback on progress.
Computer literacy and proficiency in the MS Office suite.
Good analytical skills, report writing and organisational skills.
