Buying Manager Clothing: Babies at PEP

PURPOSE OF THE JOB

• To create, lead and manage the buying for the Babies department  in PEP. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Strategy management
• People Management and Development
• Lead the buying business process for Clothing
• Trend Forecasting
• Optimise profitability
• Supplier management, sourcing suppliers and products
• Leading the Buying team
• Systems and business process support and development
• Market research and competition analysis
• Budget control

JOB INCUMBENT REQUIREMENTS

• Relevant Degree or Diploma in Purchasing Management or Clothing
• Computer literacy
• 5 years buying and leadership experience, preferably in different departments
• Extensive retail knowledge and experience
• Financial management skills; In-depth understanding of the buying process; Understanding of the planning process; Knowledge of the Supply chain processes; Market understanding; Product knowledge, and Sound business and commercial acumen & judgment
• Competencies: Market orientation , Performing under pressure, Innovating, Helicopter view, Leadership skills, Decision making abilities, Presentation skills; Negotiation skills; Meeting facilitation skills
