Cafeteria Assistant Grantleigh at Curro Holdings Ltd

What are we looking for?

We are looking for someone with the following experience, qualifications and /or skillsets:

• Matric.
• Experience in the hospitality industry.
• 1 year experience as a Cafeteria/ Tuck shop Assistant.

The responsibilities are:

Preparation of food and Sales        

• Prepare and sell food and related products to Learners, parents and Teachers as and when required.
• Assist in the preparation of cooked / warm foods if required.
• Ensure sales are done correctly and money is collected correctly in accordance with the applicable / correct pricing.
• Assist the Cafeteria Supervisor by giving input on product sales.
• Ensure money or change for items are given correctly.
• Handle any monies received with due care and correctly.
• Act as an ambassador when dealing with learners, staff or the public.
• Assist in any reasonable way possible when required for special events.
• Assist Cook / Chef / Cafeteria Supervisor in the preparation of foods when required.

Cleaning, Health and Safety and Related matters         

• Always ensure workspaces are kept clean.
• Where appropriate attire related to dealing with food or food products.
• Actively assist in the cleaning of equipment, the cafeteria / tuck-shop.
• Support the Cafeteria Supervisor with any ad-hoc Health and Safety and Hygienic requirements and always adhere to such requirements.
