The responsibilities are:
Preparation of food and Sales
- Prepare and sell food and related products to Learners, parents and Teachers as and when required.
- Assist in the preparation of cooked / warm foods if required.
- Ensure sales are done correctly and money is collected correctly in accordance with the applicable / correct pricing.
- Assist the Cafeteria Supervisor by giving input on product sales.
- Ensure money or change for items are given correctly.
- Handle any monies received with due care and correctly.
- Act as an ambassador when dealing with learners, staff or the public.
- Assist in any reasonable way possible when required for special events.
- Assist Cook / Chef / Cafeteria Supervisor in the preparation of foods when required.
Cleaning, Health and Safety and Related matters
- Always ensure workspaces are kept clean.
- Where appropriate attire related to dealing with food or food products.
- Actively assist in the cleaning of equipment, the cafeteria / tuck-shop.
- Support the Cafeteria Supervisor with any ad-hoc Health and Safety and Hygienic requirements and always adhere to such requirements.
