    Purpose Statement

    • To establish and grow a high performing Developer Runtime and Integration team that meets the company’s vision and objectives. 
    • To co-ordinate the daily prioritisation and allocation of work to the team and oversee delivery to applicable standards and timeframes. 

    Experience
    Minimum:

    • 2yrs+ experience in leading a team in the building and supporting of a scalable container platform servicing multiple teams across the organization.
    • Experience in supporting and enhancing build and release processes through automation using a combination of processes and existing tools.
    • Experience developing and supporting container based platforms for microservices-based architectures (AKS, EKS, Rancher, OpenShift).
    • Infrastructure as Code experience – Terraform
    • Experience with ELK, Grafana, Prometheus, New Relic or similar monitoring tools.
    • Experience with Docker, Swarm and Kubernetes.
    • Experience with authentication and Authorization technologies and protocols (IAM, LDAP, Kerberos, AD, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, SAML).
    • Experience working in a fast paced Agile/Scrum environment (Atlassian Stack).
    • Experience managing delivery and/or project teams
    • Experience developing and delivering solution on at least one of the following Public Cloud Platforms (AWS, Azure).
    • Strong design and hands on troubleshooting background on at least one of the following Public Cloud Platforms (AWS, Azure).
    • In an environment which required validating work 
    • Stakeholder engagement
    • Delivery in a high energy, continual improvement environment

    Ideal:

    • Experience gained in a banking/retail/financial services environment.
    • Agile methodology experience

    Qualifications (Minimum)

    • Grade 12 National Certificate / Vocational
    • National Diploma

    Qualifications (Ideal or Preferred)

    • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or Information Technology - IT Engineering

    Knowledge
    Minimum:

    • Understanding of modern software or data engineering patterns, including those used in highly scalable, distributed, and resilient systems.
    • Ability to deliver long-term, repeatable IaC solutions that incorporate directly into an overall CI/CD process.
    • Design and deployment of highly available, enterprise-scale cloud infrastructure.
    • Strong knowledge of configuration management tools (Ansible)
    • Understanding of Cloud Security technologies and best practices.
    • Understanding of Networking in cloud environments.
    • Strong knowledge of at least one scripting or configuration language (YAML, HCL, PS, etc.)
    • How to transfer skills and knowledge regarding new systems to support staff
    • Financial systems & procedures

    • Stakeholder engagement
