    Channel Account Executive (via 3rd party)

    Role Summary

    • As a Channel Account Executive you will oversee expanding our presence within the medium-sized enterprise segment via channel resellers and system integrators in the territory, developing strong and meaningful relationship with them. Your primary focus will be on promoting Sophos’ products and services, supporting resellers and distributors in pipeline growth and development, pro-actively challenging them to perform in the best possible way.

    The role can be based remotely within Gauteng province and will be hired via 3rd party.

    What You Will Do

    • Work within the Gauteng perimeter in order to develop mid-enterprise segment by leveraging channel resellers, while bring onboard new ones, raising product awareness and growing market share of Sophos products;
    • Develop and implement market plans and initiatives, also in conjunction with Marketing, working effectively with channel partner network to maximize shared goals and opportunities to propose Sophos complete range of products and services;
    • Organize enablement activities related to Sophos portfolio;
    • Provide onsite support on corporate fairs and events;
    • Partner with the internal team, as well as other functions (Product, Engineering, Sales Ops, Legal etc.), in developing winning value propositions and supporting channel partners activities;
    • Update database (Salesforce) with all relevant information to maintain accuracy on forecasting;
    • Effectively use financial metrics to meet your overall goal accomplishment and forecast your pipeline activity on products and services;
    • Contribute to improve the business process and the development of best practices, providing qualitative and quantitative feedback to channel partners, marketing and the business team;
    • Develop appropriate knowledge on our solutions and those of our competitors.

    What You Will Bring

    • Experience in proposing technical products and services in the ICT field, knowledge of cybersecurity products and services is highly preferred;
    • Previous experience in a field business role, focused on development of medium-sized enterprise market by managing partner network to maximize shared goals and business opportunities;
    • Business acumen and strong skills in developing territory and business plans;
    • Goal orientated with the ability to exceed targets and KPI’s;
    • Excellent communication and negotiation skills with the ability to identify needs and pains and to underline the value of Sophos product line;
    • Must be motivated, self-starter, and be able to deal with ambiguity and work in a fast pace environment;
    • Able to work independently as well as part of a team;
    • Knowledge of CRM tools, Salesforce knowledge is preferred;
    • Fluent in English, Afrikaans will be considered a valuable plus.
