    Channel Account Manager

    About Job

    • DotModus is a Cloud Based Projects (Turnkey) , Big Data and Data Sciences organisation. These solutions are largely developed and deployed by its 150 person strong team. There is a requirement in our rapidly expanding business to nurture and grow our footprint within our currently secured customer base.
    • DotModus therefore requires a Channel Account Manager to build out and service it’s Associate, Partner and Referral Programme. The Channel Account Manager will be responsible for the development and expansion of our current footprint to associates, mid-sized IT shops, system integrators and resale partners in the South African market.

    Responsibilities: 

    • Developing the Programme and plan per segment against agreed target and budget
    • Implement Programme strategy per segment focused on sourcing, onboarding, maintaining and managing new associates and partners
    • Sourcing and onboarding new associates and partners
    • Managing and retaining relationships with associates and partners
    • Increasing the breadth and value within our associates and partners’ client base
    • Conduct research to identify new associates and partners
    • Arrange business meetings with current and new associates and partners
    • Researching business opportunities and viable income streams within these associates and partners
    • Promote the company’s products/services addressing or predicting clients’ objectives within associates and partners portfolio’s
    • Identifying and mapping business strengths and customer needs within associates and partners base of accounts
    • Drafting and reviewing proposals for associates and partners opportunities
    • Keep records of billing, sales, revenue, invoices etc of associates and partners
    • Provide trustworthy feedback and after-sales support to associates and partners
    • Build long-term relationships with new and existing associates and partners
    • Managing and retaining relationships with associates and partners
    • Having an in-depth knowledge of business products and value proposition
    • Negotiating with stakeholders with and on behalf of associates and partners
    • Following industry trends locally and internationally
    • Reporting on successes and areas needing improvements
    • Managing and providing a detailed Account Plan per associate and partner

    Requirements:

    • Established proven track record and working experience as a Channel Manager with an established and broad network in the South African business environment
    • Proven sales growth track record that speaks to the development and support of an channel based growth strategy
    • Proficiency in English
    • High-level communication and negotiation skills
    • Ability to build rapport from C-Level to Administration
    • Time management and planning skills
    • Bachelor's Degree would be preferred but is not an absolute requirement
    • Stakeholder management skills
    • Experience with design and implementation of channel based business development strategy in the Enterprise, Corporate and SMB customer domain
    • The ability to self-motivate and work within a team
    • Experience working to and exceeding growth targets

     

    The role will report to the Sales Director - Channel Planning, forecast, budget, and performance
