Job Advert Summary

• An opportunity has arisen for a Workshop Chargehand to supervise the activities of artisans responsible for maintaining, modifying, installation and repairs.
• Inspect plant or production area for scheduling maintenance or repairs as required to minimise loss of production.
• May be an Artisan in more than one trade e.g. welder, fitter, boilermaker, electrical/mechanical.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Manage, supervise and motivate a team of workshop staff
• Manage the fleet service and maintenance programme as per maintenance procedure
• Manage the stores stock with storeman
• Attend regular HSE meetings and toolbox talk discussions with workshop staff
• Deadline orientated and prepared to do adhoc tasks
