Chief Director Districts and Institutional Support Management
Grade 12 Certificate. Bachelor’s Degree (NQF Level 7) as recognised by SAQA in Management / Public Administration / Social Science / Public Management/Project Management. A minimum of 5 years’ experience at a senior managerial level or equivalent to SMS level from other sectors. A valid driver’s license. Nyukela certificate is required for all SMS positions before appointment (Certificate for entry into the senior management service from the National School of Government).

Provide strategic leadership and management to the following programmes: District Coordination (district offices, service points, sub-offices) Institution Management (institutions and facilities). Manage and facilitate the implementation of Corporate Services. Manage and facilitate the implementation of Finance Administration and Management. Manage and facilitate the implementation of Social Welfare Services. Manage and facilitate the implementation of Specialist Social Services. Manage and facilitate the implementation of Development and Research. Liaise and account to Government oversight structures. Liaise with key departmental partners. Develop and maintain social contact with the service beneficiaries of the Department. Establish and maintain good intergovernmental relations.
