Minimum Requirements

Qualification(s):

• BSc Eng/B Eng Degree in Engineering at NQF8 with 480 credits
• Professional Registration Body
• Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) as Professional Engineer or Mine Managers Certificate of Competence

Related Minimum Experience:

• 7 years Extensive experience in mining or geotechnical engineering, engineering design, design integration, engineering management in power generation technologies for material handling plant, low pressure services plant, chemical plant, boiler emissions control, milling, draft group, burners, power plant processes, turbine center line pumps, gas turbines, high pressure equipment, feed heating and cooling, solar plants, wind energy plant and related chemistry systems, electrical, civil, control and instrumentation.

• Provide mining valuations, operation, and design support.
• Provide technical consulting and investigation services.
• Produce and integrate complex engineering solution /designs.

• Develop discipline specific technology vision, strategy, and direction.
• Plan and change discipline special research into new technologies.
• Represent Eskom in national and international technical forums.
