Key Responsibilities

• Provides professional technical leadership over senior engineers and engineers within the electrical discipline on the Peaking plant
• Manages and conducts product, equipment, material, service, and change impact evaluations
• Provides input into technology vision, strategy and direction setting
• Provides technical input into the establishment and management of contracts
• Develops and approves maintenance philosophies, technical standards, procedures, work practices and specifications for approval
• Provides complex technical consulting and investigation services
• Produces and integrates engineering solutions/designs for asset creation on behalf of customers at various stages of the project lifecycle
• Plans and controls discipline-specific research into new technologies
• Represents Eskom in national and international technical forums

Minimum requirements
Qualification(s):

• BTech Electrical Engineering at NQF7 with 360 credits                                                                  

Experience:

• 7 years of extensive experience in engineering design, design integration, and engineering management in power generation technologies for power plant processes and related electrical systems

Professional Registration:

• ECSA Professional Technologist
