Civil Supervisor 2025 at uShaka Marine World

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Matric/Grade 12 
• N3 in any Civils field of study 
• Trade Test in a field within the Construction Sector 

EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS: 

• 5 years’ post trade tested working experience in the Civils field, with at least 3 years as a supervisor or foreman, managing a team of Artisan’s and Handymen. 
• Computer Literate at an Intermediate Level with MS Office Experience. 

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE JOB: 

• Carry out weekly site inspections. 
• Follow up on works orders and ensure monthly maintenance targets are met. 
• Conduct at least 5 random over inspections per month on planned work conducted by Civil Department’s employees and sub-contractors. 
• Update engineering library on an on-going basis to keep records up to date 
• Regularly liaises with and reports to Electrical and Civils Manager, Project Manager and Helpdesk. 
• Attend weekly meetings with R&M Supervisors. 
• Liaise with Engineering Storeman on a 2-weekly basis to ensure that adequate stock levels are maintained within the Engineering Stores. 
• Conduct Annual Building Structural and Statutory inspections 
• Management of departmental time and attendance.
