An established automotive organisation is seeking an experienced Claims Assessor to oversee Warranty and Maintenance Plan claims, ensuring accuracy, compliance and cost-effectiveness. The successful candidate will use their strong technical expertise to assess claims, identify anomalies, support dealers and drive continuous improvement in claim and repair quality.
Key Responsibilities
Assess and validate dealer Warranty and Maintenance Plan claims in line with OEM standards.
Ensure dealer compliance with warranty policies, technical procedures and labour time guidelines.
Monitor claim and repair quality, costs and system accuracy.
Liaise with dealers to resolve warranty and maintenance-related queries.
Provide technical guidance and coaching to improve claim accuracy and policy compliance.
Support reporting, risk identification and audit activities.
Requirements
Motor Mechanic or Auto Electrician Trade Certificate.
Master / Diagnostic Technician qualification.
National Diploma or Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering will be advantageous.
5–10 years’ technical experience within OEM automotive brands, with strong knowledge of aftersales service systems and processes.
Extensive mechanical and electrical fault-finding and diagnostic experience.
Proven ability to resolve complex technical issues.
Experience engaging with dealers and customers in a retail environment.
Strong MS Office skills, particularly Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
