Job Description
• To provide a quality Claims service to our mandated brokers/UMA’s
• Ensure containment of claims spend on the mandated brokers/UMA’s
• Provide excellent service a culture of best practice to our mandated brokers/UMA’s
Comply with Binder regulations and Claims Binder agreement
Provide support to relevant stakeholders (Re-insurance, Portfolio management, Corporate finance, SIU, Salvage etc.)
Handle reportable claims
Monthly estimate reporting
Drive direction spend
Identify risk and mitigate where necessary
Collaborate and work closely together (team work) with others thereby leveraging constructive team dynamics and innovation
Align own behaviour with the organization culture and values
Achieve own performance objectives
Actively participate in own professional development and career path.
Follow company policies and procedures.
Provide broker/customer services/support in line with quality and performance standards
Build positive broker relations and solve or escalate broker queries and complaints
Analyse data
Proactively suggest improvements.
Adhere to specified standards, policies, practices and procedures.
Identify and recommend areas / ways to improve processes.
Job Requirements
Matric or Equivalent
2 - 3 years relevant Short Term Insurance Claims experience
Appropriate Insurance Qualifications
Working knowledge, understanding, comprehension and communication skills
Underwriting knowledge
Strong EXCEL knowledge
