FEM is looking to appoint a Claims Supervisor to support the Durban branch claims section and to ensure that the claims are administrated and processed in accordance with the (Compensation for Occupational Injuries and Diseases Act) COID Act and FEM’s standard operating procedures.
The successful candidate will be responsible for correctly administering claims and the acceptance of liability. The candidate will be guiding, directing, and ensuring operational delivery for the Claims team to achieve agreed goals and results. Furthermore, the candidate will provide service excellence by ensuring claims turnaround times are met. Similarly, to supervise staff which includes training and development of Medical Claims Administrators.
The minimum requirements of the position are a B degree in Nursing or equivalent with a minimum of 5 years prior work experience in a clinical or multi-disciplinary life and disability claims environment and at least 2 years’ experience as a Team Leader with performance management experience.
