    Claims Supervisor

    Job Description

    • FEM is looking to appoint a Claims Supervisor to support the Durban branch claims section and to ensure that the claims are administrated and processed in accordance with the (Compensation for Occupational Injuries and Diseases Act) COID Act and FEM’s standard operating procedures.
    • The successful candidate will be responsible for correctly administering claims and the acceptance of liability. The candidate will be guiding, directing, and ensuring operational delivery for the Claims team to achieve agreed goals and results. Furthermore, the candidate will provide service excellence by ensuring claims turnaround times are met. Similarly, to supervise staff which includes training and development of Medical Claims Administrators.
    • The minimum requirements of the position are a B degree in Nursing or equivalent with a minimum of 5 years prior work experience in a clinical or multi-disciplinary life and disability claims environment and at least 2 years’ experience as a Team Leader with performance management experience.

    Pensions Administrator – Head Office

    Job Description

    • FEM is looking to appoint a Pensions Administrator in Head Office. Reporting to the Pensions Manager, the purpose of the position is ensuring the accurate administration of Pensions.
    • The successful candidates will be responsible for administering fatal and total disablement pensions for injured employees and their dependent. Furthermore, the successful candidate will be required to ensure timeously tracing of injured workers and their dependent, accurate calculation of CV, and provide to follow up on outstanding information while keeping the pensioners and their dependents informed of the progress and status of their benefits.
    • The minimum requirements of the position are matric and a minimum of 2 years general administration experience in a related environment coupled with the ability to demonstrate experience in project administration. The ability to speak more than one language is also part of our minimum requirements.
    • The position requires the candidate to have functional computer literacy, and numeracy skills as well as an excellent performance track record. Knowledge of the COID Act and workman's compensation will be a distinct advantage. Excellent customer focus, the ability to work in a highly pressurised environment, quality orientation, reliability and excellent communication complete our requirements.

    Pensions Bursary Administrator – Head Office

    Job Description

    • FEM is looking to appoint an Employee Assistant Programme Administrator in Head Office. Reporting to the Pensions Benefits Supervisor, the purpose of the position is to coordinate FEM pensioners benefits programme in collaboration with the appointed administrators and educational institutions to ensure that FEM’s social responsibility objective is achieved.
    • The position requires liaising with external stakeholders including but not limited to educational institutions, and supply chains as it related to the FEM social beneficiary programme. Furthermore, the successful candidate will be required to ensure timeously payments, to follow up on outstanding information while keeping the beneficiaries informed of the progress and status of their benefits.
    • The successful incumbent must have strong interpersonal skills, creative thinking, act as the main contact of the social beneficiary benefits with good attention to detail.
    • The minimum requirements of the position are matric and a minimum of 2 to 3 years' general administration experience in a related environment coupled with the ability to demonstrate experience in project administration. The ability to speak more than one language is also part of our minimum requirements.
    • The position requires the incumbent to have functional computer literacy, and numeracy skills as well as an excellent performance track record.
